About Me

Stacy Kim

I’m a master organizer and problem solver. For over 10 years, I’ve been helping non-profits and businesses discover their brand and mission and express it through dynamic marketing strategies and design solutions. I also love utilizing online apps and tools to improve communications and minimize administrative responsibilities.

My skillset expands beyond design and creative direction into education (teaching/training), marketing, seo, social media, email marketing, front-end website development, and content creation and management.

When I’m not on the job, I train and teach martial arts. And, I’m also a dog rescuer, novice powerlifter (100b/175dl/100s), amateur beatboxer, and lifelong student.

If you’d like to learn more about how I can help your company, please reach out via email sk@stacy.kim.

MAINE COLLEGE OF ART

I graduated from Maine College of Art with a BFA with honors in 2004. But, that was really just the beginning of my journey as a designer.

DWELL CREATIVE, 2004

My first gig was working for a sustainability marketing mastermind. At Dwell Creative (currently the SOAP Group) I worked side by side with John Rooks as a creative director helping to grow the business by 200% each year.

Clients served:

Mount Washington Observatory, Camp Ketcha, Casella Recycling, CONEG, Contech, E+Co, E2Tech, Frontier Energy, Glacier National Park, Goodwill, Greenscapes, GrowSmart, Hawaiian Native Corporation, Kainos, Maine Department of Agriculture, Maine Green Building Supply, Maine Home Performance, Maine State Planning Office, Massachusetts Bays Estuary, Solar ME, Moonrise Jewelry, National Parks Service, Native Energy, NELMA, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Surf Rider, TFH Architects, USGBC Maine, White Lotus Home, Wiscasset Bay Gallery, YMCA Cumberland County… (etc.)

PERCH DESIGN STUDIO, 2008-2015

After leaving Dwell I teamed up with a developer (Don Havey) to create Perch. As co-owner, I set the quality of design standards and operations for the company. Don could dabble in design and I can dabble in development so together we were able to create and build more cohesive online applications and campaign solutions.

You can see the work of Perch here.

Clients served:

MaineHealth, Maine Arts Commission, Portland Symphony Orchestra, AdventureBus, Matthew Kenney Cuisine, Colby College, University College, University of Maine at Augusta, ILSR, Buy Local Portland, The SunriseGuide, Spurwink Services, Eastern Maine Community College, Unity College, Institute for Humane Education, Portland Downtown, Portland Society of Architects, Portland Chamber of Commerce, Riverview Foundation, Summerfeet Cycling…(etc.)

RIVERVIEW FOUNDATION, 2016

As Riverview’s designer and marketing manager I’ve been responsible for all print and online communications. With 2 locations and 300 students, the school produces everything from sign up forms to summer camp packets and from rack cards to facebook content.
